Sutherland Family Practice in Sutherland, New South Wales, is a family-focused, caring and friendly general medical practice providing compassionate medical care to the local community. Our modern surgery facility includes three consulting rooms and a comfortable waiting room with a children’s area. The clinic has on and off street parking available nearby and it is wheelchair-accessible. We are an accredited general practice by AGPAL.
Sutherland Family Practice has been established for over 25 years and has both male and female general practitioners. Our team includes:

Sutherland family practice office is closed from 27 May 2022. Dr Lynne Johnson is retired. Dr Jason Xie has relocated to Hurstville with a copy of all the medical records. Dr Ian Doust is currently on a two-week holiday and hopes to practice nearby shortly. If you wish to see a doctor at HHMC, you may book online via the website ( www.hhmed.com.au). If you want to transfer your medical records to HHMC, you may tell the front desk to do so on your arrival, and it is free. If you wish to transfer to any GP other than HHMC, you may send us a request email / consent( practicemanager@hhmed.com.au) and pay $40 for the first person, $ 70 per couple, $100 per family ( max 5 pp) and $20 per person for the subsequent additional family member via banking online to the following account. (Bank Account Name: D D Healthcare Ltd; BSB: 062 259 ACC No. 1043 2731 ) Please give your postal address or GP postal address with your bank transfer receipt. We will post a USB or CD upon we receive your payment. All transferring medical records enquires will start again today. Thank you for your cooperation.
Important Notice
The practice was closed on Friday 20 May 2022. If you want to take your medical records to your future new GP, you can contact SFP before Fri 27 May 2022. It is free for getting a copy of a health summary or uploading a health record into Mygov, as requested. For a full medical records, please pay $20 with a consent form and bring in a new USB drive (1 G) and allow us 3 business days or before Friday 27 May 2022, to be ready.
After 27 May 2022, your medical records (electronic) will be stored at Hurstville Highpoint Medical Centre where Dr Jason Xie is working now at shop 1, 468 – 460 Forest Road Hurstville NSW 2220. (Tel: 02 8065 9618 or Email: admin@hhmed.com.au)

Fees & Charges
Bulk-billing is offered to pensioners and health card holders, veteran affairs and children under 16 years of age. Full-time students and unemployed persons may also be bulk-billed. Follow-up and review results appointments are usually bulk billed. Private billing applies for other patients. A full schedule of fees is available on the notice board in the waiting room.
If you experience difficulty in paying consultation fees, please discuss confidentially with your doctor. Surcharge may apply for some procedures and acupuncture.
Low Level Laser Therapy
Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is a treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to interact with tissue and is thought to help accelerate the healing process. It can be used on patients to help eliminate pain, swelling, reduce spasms and increase functionality. The following conditions respond favourably to LLLT:

GP Acupuncture Clinic
Dr. Jason Xie has undertaken acupuncture training both in China and at Monash University in Australia. Medicare rebate applies. Bulk-billing available for DVA/Pensioners/HCC holders; where consultation is bulk-billed there may be a small fee for sterile, disposable needles/use of laser. Our services include:

Skin Cancer Clinic
Dr. Jason Xie has undertaken additional training in skin cancer medicine and is able to provide full skin checks, examination and removal of skin abnormalities and other minor surgical procedures. Our services include:
